ALF, the feline-hungry alien of the hit live-action show of the same name, relives his younger years on his home planet Melmac.

The producers expanded the show to an hour in 1988 and added the cartoon
Alf Tales in which ALF and his friends present twisted versions of classic fairy tales, including Robin Hood, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty.
Airing information
- Alien Production in association with DIC/Saban. Thirty minutes.
- Debuted September 26, 1987 on NBC.
- ALF Tales was added September 10, 1988, and the show expanded to an hour. ALF ran until September 21, 1989, but ALF Tales aired until September of 1990.
- Both were rebroadcast on the Family Channel in 1990.
